Adopt a Sculpture

Cheryl-Ann Webster’s Beautiful Women Project

Between 2003 and 2004, I created 120 life-size clay sculptures, each inspired by the story of a different woman from across Canada and the USA. Together, the sculptures formed the Beautiful Women Project—a travelling exhibition that invited conversations about body image, self-worth, resilience, and acceptance.

After many years of touring, the Beautiful Women Project officially concluded on July 1, 2026. Many sculptures have since returned to the women who originally inspired them, while 82 sculptures remain available for adoption, each carrying its own story and quiet reflection.

My hope is that these sculptures continue their journey in places where they will be valued, cared for, and continue inspiring conversation for years to come.

For more than two decades, these sculptures have sparked conversations, touched lives, and invited reflection. My hope is that, in their next homes, they continue that journey for many years to come.

Before You Begin an Adoption

There is no purchase price to adopt a sculpture. Instead, adopters agree to become thoughtful custodians of the work by covering the costs of professional packing, shipping, and handling before the sculpture is released.

Before applying, please consider:

  • Which sculpture, or sculptures, resonate most deeply with you?

  • Will they become part of your permanent personal collection, or will they be thoughtfully incorporated into a respectful new artwork or installation?

  • These sculptures are not to be purchased for resale or commercial profit. Their purpose is to continue their journey through stewardship, appreciation, and meaningful use.

  • Professional packing, shipping, and handling costs must be paid in full before collection or delivery.

  • Every adoption is completed through a simple Beautiful Women Project Adoption Agreement.

Email your request & please include:

  • The title(s) of the sculpture(s) you wish to adopt.

  • Whether you intend to keep them in your personal collection or respectfully repurpose them.

  • The city, province/state, and country where they will live.

Once I receive your request, I'll confirm availability, shipping costs & arrangements, and send the Adoption Agreement.
