Adopt a Sculpture
Cheryl-Ann Webster’s Beautiful Women Project
Between 2003 and 2004, I created 120 life-size clay sculptures, each inspired by the story of a different woman from across Canada and the USA. Together, the sculptures formed the Beautiful Women Project—a travelling exhibition that invited conversations about body image, self-worth, resilience, and acceptance.
After many years of touring, the Beautiful Women Project officially concluded on July 1, 2026. Many sculptures have since returned to the women who originally inspired them, while 69/120 sculptures remain available for adoption, each carrying its own story and quiet reflection.
My hope is that these sculptures continue their journey in places where they will be valued, cared for, and continue inspiring conversation for years to come.
To learn more about the history of The Beautiful Women Project, please visit the About the Project page.
For more than two decades, these sculptures have sparked conversations, touched lives, and invited reflection. My hope is that, in their next homes, they continue that journey for many years to come.

Before You Begin an Adoption
There is no purchase price to adopt a sculpture. Instead, adopters agree to become thoughtful custodians of the work by covering the costs of professional packing, shipping and handling before the sculpture is released.
Before applying, please consider:
Which sculpture, or sculptures, resonate most deeply with you?
Will they become part of your permanent personal collection, or will they be thoughtfully incorporated into a respectful new artwork or installation?
Individuals and groups are welcome to keep, repurpose, recreate or alter an adopted sculpture.
The original artwork may not be sold now or in the future. If the original artwork is exhibited, Cheryl-Ann Webster must be credited as the artist.
Professional packing, shipping and handling costs must be paid in full before collection or delivery.
Adoption details and conditions will be confirmed with you before the sculpture is released.
Size and Shipping
Each sculpture’s title, code and crate category are shown beneath its image. The crate category provides the approximate packed dimensions and weight of its wooden shipping crate. These measurements refer to the crate—not the sculpture itself.
Approximate Shipping & Handling
Within Canada: $175–$250 CAD
To the United States: $250–$350 CAD
International: requires an individual quote based on destination, crate size and customs requirements.
Shipping and handling includes retrieval from storage, the wooden shipping crate, packing materials, preparation and delivery to the carrier.
The final amount will always be confirmed with you before the adoption is completed.
