Commission a Sculptural Story
Giving form to feeling through clay, reflection, and creative collaboration.
Each commissioned artwork begins with a story. You bring the emotion, memory, relationship, or life experience. I bring clay, curiosity, and years of experience exploring the connection between art and emotional expression.
A Different Kind of Commission
My commissions are not created from a fixed design or predetermined outcome.
Instead, they begin with conversation, reflection, and trust. Together we explore the themes, emotions, and experiences that matter most to you. From there, I create an original sculptural response through my own artistic process.
While practical considerations such as size, budget, and display location are discussed in advance, the final artwork emerges through intuition, making, and discovery.
Clients commission the creative process as much as the finished piece.

Commission Process
COMMISSION INVESTMENT
Commissions begin at $1,000 CAD and increase based on size, complexity, materials, and installation requirements.
The Creative Retainer is applied toward the final purchase price should you choose to acquire the completed artwork.
If the finished piece does not resonate with you, there is no obligation to purchase it. In that case, the Creative Retainer is retained and the artwork remains available for exhibition, sale, or future collections.
Begin the Conversation
If you feel drawn to commission a piece, I invite you to share your story. Together we can explore whether a Sculpting Emotions commission feels like the right fit.
-
Tell me about the experience, emotion, memory, relationship, or life transition you would like explored through clay.
-
We discuss themes, practical considerations, size, location, timeline, and budget.
-
A non-refundable Creative Retainer of 30% of the estimated commission value (minimum $300 CAD) secures your place in my studio schedule and allows the creative process to begin.
-
I create an original sculptural response through reflection, experimentation, intuition, and making.
-
You view the completed artwork and decide whether it resonates with you.
Below is a small selection of commissions completed over the years. Each began with a conversation, an idea, or a story waiting to take shape.
Hope - Commissioned as "She Me," this vessel gradually revealed its own name: Hope.
Every commission begins with a conversation. Listening carefully is as important as working with clay.
A hidden porcelain form rests within. Some parts of our story remain protected, even as we grow around them.
Surface, line, and opening evolved together. Each decision responded to the one before it.
Details invite a slower look. The smallest marks often carry the greatest meaning.
Every commission is one of one. Created in collaboration, then released to begin its own life.
Topsy Turvey — Sometimes delight begins with turning expectations upside down.
Colour became movement.
Movement became form.
Form became light.
Light completes what clay began.
